- Castleberry's has been in business since 1926 and is native to Augusta, founded by Clement Stewart Castleberry with the help of his father Clement Lamar Castleberry. The company grew from a payroll of two to over 400 workers at its peak. Castleberry's was sold by the Castleberry family in 1991 to Robert Kirby. Kirby later sold the company to Connors Brothers Limited, parent company of Bumble Bee Foods of Toronto, Canada. This Brunswick stew includes traditional ingredients such as chicken, corn, beef , tomatoes and potatoes. A favorite among pit-masters and bbq professionals. Many operators use this product as a base and add their own spin to create their own signature Brunswick stew.
